some ways to get through

Welcome to My DOG-FIlled World!

Calling all dog lovers! If you’ve stumbled upon this page, chances are you’ve experienced the profound heartache that comes with losing a beloved canine companion. Let me assure you, you’re not alone, and you’re definitely not crazy. In fact, you’re in good company here in our community of dog lovers who understand the staggering loss of your dog.

I’m Sarah Whitten-Grigsby, and I’m an Interfaith Reverend with a unique specialty in Animal Ministry. But what does that mean? It means I’ve devoted my life to advocating for our four-legged friends, especially those in their twilight years. I’m the proud founder and president of the ONE MORE DAY Foundation, Inc. Our mission is to provide homeless hospice dogs with loving forever homes and ensure they receive the care and comfort they deserve until their last breath. I’m here to share my knowledge, experience, and a shoulder to lean on as you navigate the challenging journey of grieving for your beloved dog.

The Heart of the Matter

For many of us, losing a dog is absolutely not just about losing a pet. It’s about losing a cherished family member, a loyal friend, a source of boundless love and joy. For those who’ve never experienced the unconditional love of a dog, it might be tough to understand the staggering loss that comes with their departure. But for millions of us, the grief we feel when our furry friends cross the rainbow bridge can be more agonizing than losing a human loved one.

That’s where my book, “The Staggering Loss of Your Dog: Some Ways to Get Through,” comes into play. This book is a guide, a beacon of light in the darkness of grief, a comforting presence when you feel lost, and a reminder that your pain is valid.
